I grew up in Milton Massachusetts and attended Milton High School. After graduation I moved up to Waterville Maine and attended Colby College (a small liberal arts school). There I took my first ever astronomy course as an elective within the physics major. I started my graduate work at Boston University in the fall of 2014 in the Astronomy Department.
Besides academics I love to do outdoor activities, especially hiking, rock climbing and ultimate frisbee.
I captained the ultimate frisbee team in college, and I still play in the Boston Ultimate Disc Association league (when I am not too busy with school).
I love spending time with my friends and family, preferably eating good food and enjoying the outdoors.
