The BU Fencing Club meets four nights a week, Monday through Thursday. We have squads for all three weapons (both Men’s and Women’s), and we accept new members of all skill levels, from beginners to veterans.
Aside from the practice, we routinely compete in local, regional and national tournaments. These take place on the weekends (Saturdays or Sundays), and we will supply all of the transportation. You do not have to compete in any tournaments in order to be part of the team, but it is highly encouraged to do so. They are a great learning experience and we always have a good time!
Additionally, you do not have to own any equipment in order to fence with us. We have a large stock of team equipment that members can use as they wish. If you do own personal equipment, however, we have two large storage lockers that you can keep your bags in.
Our club dues are $140 per year, which can be paid in two installments of $70 per semester.
If you want to know more you can drop by one of our practices anytime. We hold them every Monday-Thursday night at FitRec.
