After many weeks of intense training and preparation for the 2013 Intercollegiate National Competition at Dartmouth College, BUFSC was excited to finally showcase their hard work. The team left for Hanover, New Hampshire on Friday, April 12 more than ready to face the fierce competition. Events started early Saturday morning and continued throughout the weekend until Sunday afternoon. After a couple of days of fantastic skating by the whole team, BU finished with a total of 84 points, taking home the third place trophy. Delaware took first place with 98 points and Dartmouth came in second with 93 points. We would like to congratulate all teams and especially thank Dartmouth for hosting!
On October 12, the BUFSC and the Northeastern University Figure Skating Club traveled 14 hours to Liberty University to kick off the 2012-2013 collegiate skating season. After a slew of great skates by new and veteran members on Saturday and Sunday, the BUFSC notched a 3rd place finish, 5 points shy of the University of Delaware and 19 points out from Dartmouth College. A special thanks to NUFSC for some intercollegiate bonding on the bus ride there and back as well as Liberty University for a very well run competition. We offer our hearty congratulations to all the teams that participated as we look forward to the next competition hosted by the University of Delaware in March of 2013.
By our tally, the results from the competition are as follows:
