The Boston University Figure Skating Club (BUFSC) is committed to the development of the sport of figure skating at all levels. The club has been an institutional member of the United States Figure Skating Association since 1975. Membership is limited to undergraduate and graduate students per Boston University Club Sports policy. The BUFSC trains at the Walter A. Brown Arena Memorial Skating Pavilion located in the Case Athletic Center.
Are you a BU student who’s never skated before? Take a PDP course (SK 101, 102, 103, 201, 203, 204)!
Membership in the Boston University Figure Skating Club comes in three different levels:
- Competitor – includes unlimited ice time, travel expenses, competition entry fees, and priority access to coaching
- Non-competitor – includes unlimited ice time and access to coaching
- Introductory – includes unlimited ice time and access to coaching, but is for first time USFS members (e.g. those transitioning from a PDP class)
All membership categories must have a US Figure Skating membership.
BUFSC and USFS membership can be purchased starting at the first information meeting and must be paid by September 14, 2012. If you missed the meeting, more information about membership can be found in the forms below.
Incoming freshmen: Should your USFS membership expire before you arrive at BU you can renew it through BUFSC. However, if you intend to test the summer leading into your freshmen year we recommend that you renew your USFS membership through your home club. You can transfer your membership to BUFSC once you have arrived.
