SED professor appointed member of Special Commission by Governor Patrick

White was appointed by Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick to serve as a member of the Massachusetts Special Commission on Civic Engagement and Learning. The purpose of the Commission is to assess the status of civic education from kindergarten through undergraduate college education in Massachusetts. Activities will involve investigating the best practices, including service learning and other academic programs, that might serve as models for improving civic engagement and learning in the Commonwealth.
