Bear Stearns acquittals stymie Feds

The court acquittals of two ex-Bear Stearns hedge-fund managers on securities fraud charges is forcing prosecutors to re-examine other potential cases stemming from the Wall Street financial meltdown.  Law Professor Tamar Frankel, an authority on securities law and author of “Trust and Honesty: America’s Business Culture at a Crossroad,” says the problem is larger than financial disclosure.

“It is a culture of gambling with other people’s money that we should focus on.”
