I agree with Mladen, learning foreign languages is something that many students here in the US view as a chore.. Yue has shown that learning languages is a gateway to connecting with other cultures. I have no doubt that she will be successful in her journalistic endeavors with her abilities in 4 languages.

This is something our kids somehow neglect. Foreign languages. I mean, yes, more than 50% of population speaks English, and those who don’t, you probably don’t want to visit anyway, but staying on only one language, considering you already know one “for free”, is pretty much waste in my opinion.
Yue here was concerned about her American slang, and I haven’t heard about American who is worried for not knowing French “slang” if there is such thing. And since she is going to be journalist, languages will only help her in her future job.
Go get them Yue!!
