<p><a href="http://www.bu.edu/today/" target="_blank">BU Today</a> <a href="http://www.bu.edu/today/node/13077" target="_blank">reported</a> that Men&#8217;s basketball coach <a href="http://www.goterriers.com/sports/m-baskbl/mtt/chambers_patrick00.html" target="_blank">Pat Chambers</a> is leaving the University and has accepted the position of head coach at <a href="http://www.psu.edu/">Penn State</a>.  Coach Chambers is credited with taking the Terriers to the <a href="http://www.ncaa.com/sports/basketball-men/d1">NCAA tournament</a> this year and having a 42-28 record during his tenure.  Chambers came to BU from <a href="http://www.villanova.edu" target="_blank">Villanova</a>, where he was assistant coach, in <a href="http://sports.espn.go.com/ncb/news/story?id=4045167" target="_blank">2009</a>.  <a href="http://nittanywhiteout.com/" target="_blank">NittanyWhiteOut</a> <a href="http://nittanywhiteout.com/2011/06/06/on-pat-chambers-the-view-from-boston/" target="_blank">reflected</a> on Chambers&#8217; career at BU via an interview with the <a href="http://dailyfreepress.com/" target="_blank"><em>Daily Free Press</em></a>&#8216; new sports editor, and <a href="http://dfphoops.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">sports blogger</a>, Craig Meyer: &#8220;He constantly harped on the importance of the team and coaching staff being like a family, and thinking of it that way, Chambers was much like the father — he kept order and was hard on his players when needed, but he did it for all the right reasons, namely that he cared so much for his guys.&#8221;</p>
