BU Men vs. BC 10/24
Last Tuesday, October 24th, the BU men faced off against their Comm- Ave Rival, Boston College. Having lost to BC last year, the men were ready to put up a good fight. With some truly fantastic matches, BU won.
Number 5, Julian Lee '20, came back from a tough first two games, losing 10-12 in the first and 9-11 in the second. He then came back to week 11-7, 12-10, 11-5 in the next three matches wining 3-2 against BC. Number 1, Hunter Chun '21, also had an incredible comeback against BC's Ryan Ashmore. In the first game, Hunter lost 15-17. He then came back in his next three games winning 11-4, 11-7, 11-9, winning 3-1. Senior and number 4, Joel Lavoie, had a fantastic win against BC's Tyler O'Neill, winning 3-0.
Sunday, October 23rd
On Sunday, October 23rd, the Men faced both Babson College and Bryant University.
The men won their first match against Bryant 7-2. Seats 2, Marwan Sallam, 3, Parker Tonissi, 4, Joel Lavoie, 5, Julian Lee, 6, Matthew Wallace, and 7, Cameron Bonhurst won their matches 3-0. Seat 4, Joel Lavoie '18, had a tough first game 12-10 but came back in his second two games winning 11-1 and 11-2. Chad Lavoie made his collegiate appearance as seat number 10. Shrey Shah played to 5 games, ultimately winning.
In their second match of the day vs. Babson, BU won 9-0, winning in all seats. Being Babson's second year as an official club team, they played well and we are excited for future matches in years to come.
