We are excited to announce our BU Invitational! It will be held at the Fitness and Recreation Center (915 Commonwealth Avenue). We are excited to welcome many talented teams, including the 2012 Collegiate National Champions, The Ohio State University! The meet begins at 1:30 PM and is free of charge. We look forward to having you.

Newsletter and Alums

Wondering what we’ve been up to this semester? Sign up to receive our bi-yearly newsletter! Email one of the people listed under the “Contacts” tab above. We will be posting the newsletters on this site, as well.

In addition, we would like to invite everyone who has ever swam or coached for us before to email us and tell us in what year they were involved with the team. We are trying to update our alumni listing.

Thank you!

Welcome Back!

We hope everyone had a beautiful, healthy summer filled with lots of sun and fun times. The team is stoked to get back in the water and kick some butt this synchro season. We are excited to work harder than before and tackle new goals. But even more than that, we can’t wait to meet our new swimmers!

Whether you have synchro experience or not, we have a spot for you on our team! Every year we gain members with and without knowledge of the sport. Synchro is a great learning experience to new and old swimmers, as well as a sure way to get to the gym regularly! We’re so excited to expand the synchro family this year. We’ve already heard from a few eager terriers, so keep the questions coming!

See you in the Bean!

Goodbye

We ended our year with a banquet, one final fundraiser, and a team dinner in the North End. Now, finals are ending and BU is looking forward to Commencement, where the seniors from all BU’s colleges and schools gather together for graduation. This year, we had to say goodbye to three fabulous seniors. One of them will be a coach next year but the rest are looking forward to go wherever life takes them next. We wish them the best of luck.

With that, I turn over the website editing and blogging to our Secretary for 2012-2013, Amanda Kelleher. It’s been a lot of fun, but I know that Amanda will keep you updated on the daily happenings of the team for this coming year.

Have a fabulous summer everyone!

Sincerely,
Marie Hoff

Pictures

Micaela Bedell came to practice before our show and took some pictures of us! She did a fabulous job and YOU can see OUR photos by clicking on the “Pictures” tab above and then going to the “2011-2012 Season” link. Her photos are at the end– they are the ones with us in red swim suits. Feel free though to look through them all, though!

Global Day of Service

It is really important for us to do community service. Last semester, we donated toys for our club sport’s Toys for Tots drive. Today, two of us participated in our Community Service Center’s Global Day of Service event. We helped rake leaves at a community park near our campus. The students from Boston University filled over 200 bags! Look at the pictures– click “Pictures” above and then choose “2011-2012 Season.”

New Secretary for 2012-2013

As a club team, we are run primarily by the students on the team. We have an executive board, which consists of a president, vice president, treasurer, and secretary. This coming year, the president, vice president, and treasurer will be the same girls who held those positions for the 2011-2012 season. Our secretary, however, will be going to Madrid in the fall, so we held elections for the position on Tuesday. Our new secretary will be Amanda (Mandie) Kelleher. We will begin to train her and we look forward to working with her next season!
