The United Nations University for Peace proudly announces the upcoming conference at our campus entitled: INNOVATIONS for INTERNATIONAL DEVELOPMENT; Linking Good Ideas with Good Intentions
This conference will look at a wide array of innovative approaches to international development through the application of new strategies and technologies. It will also provide practitioners with a forum to share best practices for developing and funding these innovations with students and professionals in the field of International Development. This event will facilitate important networking across sectors to assist with programmatic elements such as funding procurement, program design, technology transfer, technical consulting, and more, while providing inventors and organizations the opportunity to promote their innovations through demonstrations in an exhibition. This English language event is targeted towards an audience of graduate students, academics, NGOs, government agencies, and business both within Costa Rica and abroad.
Topics include: sustainable program design, appropriate technology, funding opportunities, alternative economics, sustainable energy, green architecture, innovative media, innovations expo, permaculture, and more!
The conference will run from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. (including lunch, refreshments, and a
reception afterwards) on Saturday November 6th, with an attendance fee of 4,000 colones for
early registration, and 5,000 colones after October 29th.
