Fall and Summer Internship Opportunities at Nonprofit Organization, Barakat, Inc.

Barakat is currently looking to fill about ten internship positions for the 2011 summer and fall sessions. We welcome applicants from all majors who have an interest in international development, human rights, literacy, and in helping women and children. We are looking for interns with skills ranging from marketing and communications, event planning and graphic design to research, grant writing and program support.

Barakat is a nonprofit organization that exists to strengthen the fundamental human right to education in South and Central Asia by providing exemplary basic education, increasing access to higher education and advancing literacy, particularly for women and children. Our office in Cambridge provides support to our programs and staff in Afghanistan, Pakistan, and India through fundraising, awareness raising and program development.

-Development Assistant-Individual Donor Cultivation (15-20 Hours/week; Unpaid)
