2013-2014 Season

The Terriers were 4-15-1 overall last year, so we look to improve this season. Nearly half of last year’s team was comprised of rookies that slowly found their groove on the team throughout the season, which gives hope for a promising season this year. Although our record shows a struggling season, the Terriers posted big wins against Harvard, Westfield State, and UVM. All 3 wins came in the latter half of the season, showing an improving team and growing confidence among our rookies. We graduated 3 seniors last year; Nick Ennis, Nick Kontos, and Anthony Sardo; and also lost one of our rookie forwards, Torey Korsunsky. However, despite these losses, we have high hopes for this season. Andrew Reiter, who missed nearly all of last season with a shoulder injury, will return this season to aid the Terriers. In addition, we may have as many 8 seniors on the roster this year, allowing for a more experienced team. All other teams in our division (Patriot East) went to Regional Playoffs and 2 of those, Northeastern and UConn, went to D2 Nationals, so we have our hands full this season. With so much competition, the Terriers will be coming ready to play every single game.

Tryouts for the ’13-’14 BU club ice hockey team will be held on Saturday, September 14 11am-12pm and Sunday, September 15 10am-12pm. Both will be held at Walter Brown Arena at 285 Babcock Street in Boston, MA, in BU’s West Campus. The fee for tryouts will be roughly $60 and all players should bring full equipment.
