Hello and congratulations on being interested in COM! I promise we won’t let you down. I’m Brittany and I’m a senior from Framingham, Massachusetts. I’m one of the few people you will meet who hasn’t ever changed their major—in fact, I’ve known what I’ve wanted to do since I was a sophomore in high school. I’m majoring in Broadcast Journalism with aspirations of on-air reporting. I am also pursuing a minor in American Studies to get a better understanding on the people and places around me that I am reporting on. I’m passionate about Boston sports and sports broadcasting, and I would love to end up back in the Hub after spending a few years after graduation living in a few more obscure states.
If I’m not watching the Bruins or working in one of the COM editing labs, I’m probably doing something with my sorority, Delta Gamma. If I’m not on campus, you can find me at my internship in Watertown with New England Sports Network (NESN). I like to have a little hand in all aspects of college life, especially because I’m graduating early! I had a year’s worth of AP credits from high school, and coming to COM allowed me to utilize those credits so that I could graduate in three years. My plan has been to make the most of the limited time I have on campus (check!) and get out into the “real world” as fast as I can—I know what I want to do, and COM has more than prepared me to do it.
Like most of the other ambassadors, I love coffee, however unlike the majority of them, I’m Team Dunkin’. I love going to concerts, shopping on Newbury, cooking, spending time with my family, and tweeting. I hope you enjoy your time exploring Boston University as much as I have!
