Hi newCOMers!!! My name is Taylor Walker. I am from Atlanta, Georgia. Prior to coming to BU, my perception of a winter wonderland was blurry.  I immediately learned that my hometown’s flurries were nothing compared to the northern climate. So, YES, I was that kid who rushed outside at the first sign of snow, and I “might” have attempted to throw a snowball. Boston is such a great environment with happenings going on by the second. BU offers tons of opportunities for students to become involved in various programs, so don’t think for a second you’ll be left out just because you’re a freshmen.

I am studying Broadcast Journalism here at BU. So far, I have been involved in two television shows produced by BUTV10, The Wire and On that Point, as well as the news radio talk show through WTBU.  COM constantly encourages students to earn experience through hands-on activities and programs.

I must say that I wasn’t prepared for the elevated hockey enthusiasm here on campus. In fact, prior to coming to BU, I was intimidated by the brutal grudges and quite frankly the hockey puck itself. However, weirdly enough as I sat in the stands at my first BU game the hockey spirit began to overwhelm me as I belted out BU chants and cheered on the team. BU truly is a Terrier nation.
