The Computational Simulation Laboratory (CompSim) is a research powerhouse built upon the strengths of its faculty and the support of its commited students and staff.
The Compsim Lab houses the Biomedical Engineering Information Technology department: BME-IT. It was formed in 2004 as a subdivision of the College of Engineering Information Technology: ENG-IT. With the creation of BME-IT, support emphasis shifted from a college-wide focus to one that is more department specific.
BME-IT supports student, labs and groups in the BME department. Full-time staff members and part-time student workers are responsible for hardware, networking, software, computing support, web-based applications and databases support.
