Since 2006, our household has hosted 2 cats and a menagerie of other animals including long haired guinea pigs, gerbils, hamsters, frogs, fish, 3+ hedgehogs, and briefly our nephew’s chinchilla and niece’s bearded dragon.
In 2018, we have:
- Two cats (joined in 2006): Althea & Alyssa (from the Pat Brody shelter)
- Two dogs (joined in 2013): Sawyer & Maggie (from Save Them All Rescue)
- Two rabbits (joined in 2016): Jacin & Wynter (from a breeder/rescue)
- Two short haired guinea pigs (~2017): Hazel and Oreo (PetSmart)
- Nine chickens (joined in 2017; originally 11, but 2 died of peritonitis; from “Littleton Agway”)
- Barred Rock: Star, Stripe (Lydia calls her Explosion)
- Buff Orpingtons: Luna, Wendy
- Easter Eggers: Bess, Calista, Dusty, Sirena (RIP Henny Penny)
- Rhode Island Red: Ginny (RIP Amelia)
