About Me

I am an astronomer from the Republic of Korea and have spent the last 9 years in the U.S, where I am now pursuing a PhD in Astronomy under the supervision of Prof. Philip Muirheadnoname-224x300I graduated from Pennsylvania State University as a Schreyer Honors student in 2012. I majored in Astronomy & Astrophysics and Physics and minored in Mathematics. I finished my bachelor’s degree in only 7 semesters. I worked as a research assistant in the Astronomy & Astrophysics department at Pennsylvania State University under the supervision of Prof. Jason Wright.

I like playing sports. When I was young, I thought I would become either a short track speed skating athlete or a Judo athlete. I still play both sports as well as other team sports. I joined a floor hockey team in the Fall of 2014 and a broomball team in the Spring of 2015 at the intra mural level at Boston University.

I also like musical instruments. I play piano, clarinet, and guitar. I was in an orchestra playing clarinet from 5th to 9th grade and in a band playing guitar from 11th to 12th grade.
