The BU Gymnastics Club welcomes the incoming freshman, class of 2017! We are so excited to meet all of you and hope you enjoy BU as much as we do! We accept competitive and noncompetitive gymnasts of all levels, including those who are just beginning. We encourage you to explore our blog and Facebook page for frequent updates. On Monday 9/2, Labor Day, we will be at the Club Sports Expo right outside FitRec from 12-3PM. Stop by for a chance to get to know us! The terriers headed for NAIGC's Nationals Competition hosted in Minneapolis, Minnesota on April 11th and despite minor traveling difficulties they made it there safely and just in time to compete! They faced teams from all over the nation, and did their best and had a blast while doing so. The following are the breakdown of the scores for the Women Terriers:

The BU Gymnastics Team will be attending Nationals hosted by NAIGC in Minneapolis, Minnesota on April 11th! BU will be represented by 8 of our team members who will be competing against clubs from all over the US.

Brandon Epstein attended our first meet of the season on February 17th in Springfield, where he established himself as the 4th best vaulter in New England!
MIT hosted a meet on March 2nd which the BU Gymnastics team attended. We were up against MIT, USM, UCONN, and UNE. Brandon Epstein, Jasmyn Sierra, Gianna Sabidussi, Christina Yannatos, Hannah Rex, and Annie Duerr competed with support from one of our coaches, Kate McGeever, and teammates Jessi Maduro and Sneha Patel. Everyone did their best and we had a great time but the club did not place amongst the other teams competing. Some members achieved their personal best scores for events as well as competed for the first time as part of the team.
The team is excited for the upcoming weekend, March 23rd, as we are attending UVM's meet for some friendly competition!
We are also getting ready to prepare for Nationals in Minneapolis on April 11th!

This past weekend on December 1st, the BU Gymnastics Team hosted its very own meet "Rhetts Bowl" at Gymnastics & More in Woburn, MA. With close to 100 competitors from MIT, UVM, USM (Southern Maine), UConn, UPenn, Temple and Sacred Heart, the meet was a great success!
We had a total of 13 gymnasts competing for BU's team, including 10 women and 3 men. The following are the results for the terriers!

The ladies did well with Alyssa Aaron placing 1st on beam, 3rd on bars, 4th on floor, 5th on vault, and 3rd all around and Becca Saran who placed 2nd on floor!
The men did equally well with Brandon Epstein placing 1st on vault, 2nd on floor, and 3rd all around and Anthony Maita who placed 3rd on pommel horse and 3rd on vault!

Rhett's Bowl
The BU Gymnastics Team is hosting our annual meet on Saturday, December 1st! Please come out and support our team at our home meet. We have gymnasts from MIT, UVM, USM (Southern Maine), UConn, UPenn, Temple and Sacred Heart coming up for the weekend. It should be a tumbling filled day with all 98 competitors!
The start time is 2PM and admission prices are as follows: $3/adult and $2/student.
The address of Gym & More where the meet will be hosted is 8 micro drive in Woburn, Massachusetts.

University of Connecticut hosted it's annual Winter 2012 meet on Saturday, February 11th. The BU Gymnastics team had five girls competing in the meet against eight other teams from the east coast areas. Congratulations to Lauren and Annie for their first competition of the season, and a special thanks to Tatiana and Sneha for coming out and supporting the team. Great job, Lady Terriers!

On November 5th, Boston University's Gymnastics Club hosted a meet at Gym & More in Worburn, MA. University of Connecticut and University of Vermont joined BU for the gymnastics for a day filled with gymnastics and fun! Thanks to everyone who came out to support all the teams. BU's women gymnasts who competed were Hannah, Marissa, Jasmyn, and Becca. For the men's gymnastics team we had Mark and Carlos representing BU. Congratulations to everyone who competed!
