I guess it is validation of the principles of your design. If people think your site is well done enough to try to mimic it so closely, that says something. BUT (big but) I think you knew you were on the right track without the “flattery”. Imitation of this level is more insulting than flattering IMO.

Holy cow, it was bad enough before I realized they ripped off the INDIVIDUAL COLUMN TITLES and even BSU TODAY. Makes me that much happier we (indirectly) kicked their butt in the NCAA.
