BU MBA Symposium / IPconnectED panel, Sat 2/6, 2010

The Boston University MBA Symposium, will be held on February 6, 2010 at Boston University’s Graduate School of Management. This year Symposium will host two keynote speakers: Dr. John Lechleiter, CEO of Eli Lilly and Don Walker, Co-CEO of Magna International. Symposium is a day-long, student-run event featuring a chief-level keynote speaker and a series of panel discussions assembled by BU MBA student clubs. The event brings together the extended MBA community, traditionally attracting more than 300 students, alumni, faculty, staff, and distinguished business professionals. The MBA Symposium has hosted speakers from a range of nationally-recognized companies, including Chrysler Corporation, Deloitte Consulting, EMC, General Electric, J. Crew, Motorola, Dunkin’ Donuts and Ocean Spray Cranberries.

IPconnectED has put together a panel at the Symposium between 10:45am and 12:15pm to discuss “Business transactions involving Intellectual Property”. Our four panelists are business leaders with extraordinary experiences in diverse areas of  law, computer software, life science, and technology development. They are sure to lead an insightful discussion regarding how companies handle IP issues in valuation, restructuring, outsourcing, merging and acquisitions, etc.  Our panelists are:

Anne Marie Cook, Partner of Choate Hall & Stewart,

Priya Iyer, CEO of Anaqua,

Bruce Rubinger, Founder and Managing Director of Global Prior Art, and

Charlie Kohn, President of PV Metrology Consulting.

The panel will be moderated by Ashley Stevens, Executive Director of BU’s Office of Technology Development.
