Out stats were good, but our best end and the game changer was end four. At 9:50 in the video below, Pat is lying one, and decides to bring another rock into the house. This leads to a double by Rich and we scored three (it would have been four but we couldn’t draw in with Rich’s second). We didn’t shoot a high number (59%) in this end. Good tactical decisions matter.

We shot 1Y78 12 34 56. 1Y8 a little straight, 1Y6 might be a hair slower.

Conclusion: 1R3 and 1R4 are very well matched for speed and curl.
They always were within a foot of each other in eight attempts at matching.

There were two key ends: the second and the fourth. In the second, Team Collier had a chance to score five with last rock, but couldn’t remove the lone red rock. Steal of one for Ho. Then, in the fourth end, Ho was up 3-1 with the hammer.
Team Collier shot 78% but was outgunned by a perfect eight shots (100% score) from Team Ho.
Ho scored 4 with the hammer and the game was all but over.

Ho goes on to play for the President’s Trophy (teams ranked 1-4) and Collier is in the Tequila Bowl (for teams 9-12).
