Krasker Film/Video Services provides instructional media support to classes on Boston University’s Charles River Campus. Boston University Faculty can browse the online catalog and reserve any of more than 18,500 film and video titles from the Krasker collection for classroom use in current classes. Krasker also has an onsite previewing room at Mugar Memorial Library, basement level, 771 Commonwealth Avenue, equipped to screen all formats in the Krasker collection, including 16mm, VHS, Laser Disc, DVD, and Blu-ray. All services, including previewing, are available to current Boston University students, faculty, staff, and departments.
Many people ask us, “Why are you called Krasker Film/Video Services?” Well, my curious kinophiles, we get our name from former Boston University professor Abraham Krasker, a major innovator in the field of Audio-Visual Education and founder of the School of Education’s Educational Media and Technology Program: EM&T.
