Hello and welcome to my personal space!

I am Luisa Capannolo and I am currently a Research Scientist at Boston University. My research interests focus on Space Physics and, to be more specific, the precipitation into the upper atmosphere of energetic particles that populate the Earth’s magnetosphere. Before moving to Boston in August 2014 to start the Astronomy PhD program at Boston University, I got both my Bachelor’s and my Master’s degrees in Physics at the University of L’Aquila (Italy), where my research was focused on the response of the magnetosphere to interplanetary shocks. Look at my Research page if you want to know more!

Besides Physics, I enjoy spending time mostly crocheting, singing and listening to music. If you are curious, there are some more details in the About me page!

Feel free to look around and contact me if you have any questions.
