Motivation

As I am preparing to apply for grad school and jobs, I find that I keep coming back to the question of motivation. What do I wake up everyday feeling excited for, what am I aiming to accomplish in the next thirty minutes, what am I learning and researching and how will it lead to something meaningful. Time passes by so fast, life is so short, there is so much to learn, and much more to be done.

As I was talking to professors at a portfolio review night yesterday, I felt so grateful to have made the connections with them and acknowledged how genuinely willing they were to help us, to give us advice based on their experience over the years. I think as I come back to the question of motivation, it comes back to experiencing kindness and having the desire to give back that generosity. Being grateful of friends and family, being able to spend quality time with people is so important. This is something I need to work on. I believe God empowers us to do greater things as we trust in Him and build a foundation of strong relationships.
