So, you have decided the Bahamas for your next dream vacation destination, well, lucky you! I really believe that Bahamas is one of the most enjoyable and fun places in the earth. There are so many things to do that naming them all is simply impossible.
During your Bahamas vacation be sure to scuba dive; Bahamas is home to great scuba diving for all skill levels and can be found on almost every island. Golfing is also another popular pastime and Grand Bahama Island is the current mecca for Bahamas golfing. You can also find some great golf courses on almost any of the islands.
And the list of activities just goes on and on. One of the activities I totally recommend while staying in a Bahamas vacation rental is to have an encounter with dolphins. The Blue Lagoon Island is perfect for this. You will have the chance to swim, pet, feed and dance with dolphins. You can also do an undersea walk; a tour unlike any other where participants are given a lead mask that weights them to the ocean floor in about 10 feet of water. Air is pumped into the mask and tourists can walk along the bottom of the ocean petting tropical fish and interacting with other marine life. Make sure to prearrange for pictures.
If you are a rum connoisseur, I recommend you visit the Bacardi Distillery which gives free samples during its tours, and you can purchase their spirits for a fraction of the cost. If you need to get some exercise after laying on the beach, the Queens Staircase is a prominent stop on an historical walking tour of Nassau. Built in 1793 by slave labor and cut out of a limestone wall, this staircase is 102 feet tall. And if you are not that adventurous, maybe the Versailles Gardens is more to your liking. Touring Versailles Gardens and the Cloisters it hosts was one of my favorite things to do.
And of course, the main attraction in Bahamas is its beaches. No Bahamas vacation is complete without some time spent at the beach. Whether you choose to visit the famous pink sand beaches of Harbour Island or the popular Nassau beaches, the beaches here are a true source of vacation enjoyment. So, if I were you, I wouldn’t think it twice. Book your vacation rental and start enjoying this amazing paradise.
