Having a beach vacation is always a nice experience. The sun, the breeze, the water; what a better setting to relax and forget about daily worries? One of my favorite places to do this is Destin, Florida. Although it may not be as well known as other Florida destinations, I believe Destin is ideal for a truly comforting vacation. It is located in the Emerald Coast of Florida and it is popular for its beautiful beaches, colorful waters, numerous Destin vacation rentals and its variety of recreational opportunities. While in Destin one can find everything from water sports, yacht charters and world class fishing to beautiful natural parks.
An excellent way to experience the beauty of Destin is by taking one of the many dinner cruises. You will enjoy extraordinary dinning and live entertainment while cruising around the area. If you like dolphins there are also many possibilities in Destin. Life shows and dolphin performances are the main attraction of Destin’s Gulfarium. You will surely laugh all day as these gentle and charming animals keep you entertained.
If you are more on the sports side, kayaking, parasailing and motor boats are also some of the most popular pastimes It is common to see vacationers exploring the area’s island waters on pontoon boats, catamaran sail boats or parasailing. If speed is your thing, visit the Track Family Recreation Center; you will find the fastest family entertainment attractions including Go Karts, Mini Golf, Bumper Rides and Thrill Rides.
One of the other things I loved about Destin was the Stunt Kites. The gentle ocean breezes of Destin allow for occasional performances of these kites at the beach. If you are lucky you may catch one of these or you may also enjoy another of the most well-liked pastimes of the Island; snorkeling. Although there are no coral reefs, due to the quality of the water visitors from all over come to enjoy this colorful activity.
So if you are thinking about a beach vacation, I truly recommend staying at one of the many Destin condos, you will never regret it!
