Traveling to any place in Hawaii is always a pleasure and Princeville is not the exception. Lush greenery, scenic waterfalls and vibrant nightlife can be all experienced in this fascinating town. And what is best, there are so many things to do that you will never be bored. From hiking to surfing and sightseeing, outdoor activities are a favorite pastime among visitors and locals alike. If you love adventure, hiking tours and lazing on the beach, you will find Princeville a perfect destination to visit. As far as accommodations go, Princeville offers a wide range of Kauai vacation rental options; from spacious Princeville villas to comfortable Princeville condos
One of my favorite attractions in Princeville is the Princeville’s cattle ranch. This ranch is a large, scenic area nestled between the mountains and the ocean that dates back to 1831. It offers horseback riding tours, waterfall picnic excursions and hikes, all featuring panoramic views on the ranch. You can also sign up for a private tour and learn the skills of Hawaiian cowboys if you prefer it.
Another popular activity in the area is golfing. There are many premier golf resorts spread around Kauai Island and one of the best ones is located in Princeville. The Prince Course Resort is an 18-hole course, ranked as the No.1 golf course in Hawaii. It is not only famous for its panoramic views, but also for its level of difficulty that will challenge every golf enthusiast.
If you want some peaceful time, head to The Hanalei Valley Lookout. This lookout is the perfect place to pull over and admire the breathtaking beauty of Hawaiian nature. It lies within the 917-acre Hanalei National Wildlife Refuge which was established to protect exotic bird species. A one-way truss bridge built in 1912 is one of the landmarks of this area worth visiting.
And if you like shopping, like me, there are some nice options in Princeville. Most stores offer unique items, apparel, art and home accessories. Close to Princeville, you will also find specialty shops that carry unique gifts and vintage clothes. Oriental rugs, antiques from many exotic lands and pearl bracelets are just some of my favorite items.
When going to Princeville, you can put all your strategic planning aside. In this tropical paradise, you will enjoy glorious weather every day, year-round. Even if it rains, it is very brief and often followed by spectacular rainbows. Most of the times however Princeville will bring you only postcard-like blue skies!
