The title is so cliche, I know, but I simply could not refuse. I apologize, anyway- but please do not hold it against me.

If CSI Miami does not make you want to visit this hoppin’ place, then maybe this article will. Miami would be a super fun (what is with the tacky language today???) place to go… especially for the college crowd. As a 20 year-old, I would definitely enjoy going to Miami with a bunch of friends. In fact, my friends and I are talking about going to Florida for spring break, and there are plenty of cheap and nice vacation rentals down south.

I am going to plan a trip as if I were going on it. Here goes…

For our Miami vacation rental, I chose a Biscayne Waterfront Rental. This particular two bedroom place sleeps six. Five friends of mine and I will enjoy seven days staying in this condo, fully equipped with a pool, hot tub, high speed internet, stove and refrigerator, ice machine, air conditioning, and of course, satellite tv. As if we are going to stay inside to enjoy the A/C and satellite!

We will wake up at approximately 9am and walk out of the condo onto the beach. We will lay for most of the day and soak up the sun. One day we will try windsurfing. The next day maybe go jet skiing, maybe go snorkeling or check out one of the nearby amusement parks. If I am feeling ambitious, I might wake up early one day and hit the gym before swimming and lounging around in the sand for the rest of the afternoon.

At night we will visit some of the best local restaurants, and maybe go clubbing a few times. Since we will be there without our parents, staying up most of the night might occur once or twice. After all, it is spring break, and we are in Miami. Gotta make the best of it! Of course it will not happen all week, though, because we would not want to sleep allll day!

Tan, eat, play, sleep, repeat. I guess that would be it. That is exactly what my friends and I would be looking for in a spring break, as I am sure most college kids would. As long as I come home with a tan and feeling refreshed, it was a successful vacation. This itinerary would allow for both of those!! Let’s do it…

You know what I love? Having a 9am class on Friday mornings. And I love even more that it is 3 hours long. And most of all I love walking there when it’s FREEZING COLD.

Before I even got out of bed this morning I looked online to see what the weather was like outside my warm dorm room. I do not always look up the weather, but this morning I had to figure out which jacket I was going to wear. I almost laughed out loud when I saw that the temperatue said a mere 2 degrees Fahrenheit. HA! Are they serious? Oh New England…

So of course I got to thinking about wishing I was somewhere else. Namely, Florida. And more specifically, Daytona Beach. I do not even know why I teased myself but I looked up the weather in Daytona. Sixty degrees. What a life. Shorts and t-shirt weather. Instead, I am here in New England all bundled up with gloves, scarf, hat, jacket, boots… and I am still cold walking to class. I am going to Daytona.

And while I am there, I am going to get myself a nice vacation rental. Maybe this time I will take my mom, I think she could use a vacation, too. My Daytona Beach vacation rental is a beautiful condo right on the ocean. I can wake up in the morning and look out the window to the shining sun and sandy shores. It also has a pool and is very conveniently located. It is just a short walk to many attractions to keep me busy, such as shopping centers, amusement parks, etc. And the weather is definitely not going to be in the teens like in New England.

One other thing about Daytona Beach- since I am always looking for good places to eat, I found a useful article on 10Best.com. Of all the reviews I read, the place I would be most inclined to try would be this barbeque place called Hog Heaven. They supposedly have great burgers, barbeque chicken, and ribs. And better yet, the average meal price is under ten dollars. It is easy to get carried away with spending when you go on vacation, so it is always good to have a more economical option in mind.

If you are as fed up with this New England weather as I am, then book a trip… to Daytona Beach!

Traveling to Europe will provide you with one of the most diverse experiences. One of the seven traditional continents of the earth, Europe is the westernmost peninsula of Eurasia and the second smallest continent of the world after Australia. A variety of languages are spoken throughout the continent and numerous religions are also practiced. Currently European Union countries share a common unit of currency, a euro, and the European economy is the largest on earth.

Making a list of top things to do while staying at one of the many Europe hotels is simply impossible. There are so many possibilities and so much variety that getting to know Europe is a never-ending task. From the valleys of Black Forest to Pamplona’s bull runs and Italian Alps, you will never be bored in Europe.

A good place to start is Germany. This country’s location serves as the crossroads of Europe and its cultural richness includes a myriad of festivals and historic landmarks. Oktoberfest for example, is one such festival. It is one of the most popular festivals in the world where you can see the German culture in action. Vibrant celebrations of life, laughter and food are all part of this incredible event.

Spain is great if you look for some vacation time in the countryside and great weather. The country is surrounded by oceans, which means it has no shortage of beaches; it also offers century old festivals, cobblestone streets and a beautiful countryside ideal for a relaxing vacation.

If you look for great food and museums then head to France. This country is one of the most diverse and dynamic destinations of Europe. Food is superb with some of the most renowned chefs of the world based here and its wineries should not be missed by wine enthusiasts. Paris, the city of lights offers France visitors the most mesmerizing sceneries and a myriad of museums and top notch monuments. The Eiffel Tower is one of them and a must while in Paris. Designed by Gustave Eiffel in 1889, the Eiffel Tower is an icon of Paris that if visited at night it allows visitors to appreciate an incredible view of the city and its light display. During the winter the first floor of the tower is turned into a rink and if you get to the top floor, you will be able to see a replica of Gustave Eiffel’s office including a wax figure of him.

The Louvre is another attraction no visitor of Paris should miss. The museum features the renowned portrait of Lisa Gherdini or Mona Lisa and about 35,000 pieces of art are currently in display.

Art fans will also like to stop by the Cathedral of Notre Dame, an architectural marvel of the medieval times built during the years of 1163 until 1330. With a gothic exterior, this cathedral is composed of two broad towers and several sweeping arches. The south tower holds the great bell of Notre Dame.

If your European destination is Italy then you will be amazed by its history and the friendliness of its inhabitants. The ruins of Roman Empire can be found throughout the country and Rome will impress even the most experienced travelers. Food wise Italy offers a variety of wines and delicious pizzas to choose from. And don’t forget to visit Italian’s country side. The romanticism of Venice and the splendor of Italian Alps combined with the Tuscan hills are definitely worth a visit.

The United Kingdom, London and the Buckingham Palace are another favorite among European visitors. One of the most popular travel destinations of Europe, the United Kingdom offers its visitors unique places such as Scotland and England. England is a land of glamour, history and beauty. A trip to London includes a visit to the Buckingham palace, the famous Big Ben and the Windsor Castle. Some of the most important London attractions include the London Eye Flight an unrivalled experience for height lovers, the Tower of London, one of the world’s most famous fortresses and the Tower Bridge exhibition of London Bridge, one of the most recognizable bridges of the world. If you are traveling with kids then consider visiting the London Zoo in Regents Park.

And if you like shopping London’s alternatives are endless. Regardless if you are looking for a luxurious item or a simple souvenir this place has it all. There are more than 80 outdoor markets, jewelry shows, traditional shopping centers and unique and unusual boutique stores.

As far as lodging, staying at a European vacation rentalsis an excellent idea especially if you are traveling with your family or a large group. Europe vacation rentals not only offer more space but also more privacy, most of the times at a better rate than a Europe hotel room.

If visiting Texas, expect nothing but a fun vacation. Located in the southern and South Central regions of the United States, Texas is the second largest state in the country. Numerous getaways attract tourists that come to the “Lone Star State” to enjoy the culture, history and the beautiful landscapes that Texas has to offer.

Home to the Alamo, the Space Race and the Riverwalk, Texas has something for every age and every taste making it the perfect destination whether you are traveling with family, friends or a loved one. Texas beautiful cities include Austin, Houston, San Antonio, South Padre Island each one with its own charm.

You will also find innumerable entertaining options that range from shops and dining to historical sites, water parks and space technology fun.

When exploring Texas you can start by Houston. This multicultural city is the 4th largest city of the nation and offers a unique opportunity to mingle with worldwide cultures. In Houston it is not strange to find great sushi, a delicious Colombian empanada and a Vietnamese grocery all in the same strip. You will also find such famous attractions as the astronauts Space Center and NASA. Space fanatics will have areal chance to get up close and personal with the moon, experience a weightless environment simulating the space and get to know everything about space life. This exciting place is perfect for those traveling with kids and is a must see while in Houston.

Austin is another city worth visiting while in Texas. The capital of the state, Austin is a vibrant city full of historical landmarks and things to do. If you stay at one of the many Texas vacation rentals you will enjoy a thriving cultural scene, an incredible nightlife, excellent museums, shopping and dinning alternatives that make Austin a favorite among Texas visitors.

While in Austin make sure to stop by the State Capitol of Texas, one of the most popular attractions in Austin. The State Capitol of Texas was completed in 1888 and offers guided tours every 15 minutes. It is open to the public from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm and the admission is free. Visitors can find numerous Tx vacation rentals in the area.

If visiting Texas with kids, then consider staying in Galveston. Numerous amusement parks, fascinating museums and beautiful nature parks characterize this place providing you with unlimited recreation opportunities. The Strand and Lone Star Flight Museum are just some of the area’s many attractions. The Schlitterbahn water park is another option and one of my favorites. This family-oriented water park offers numerous daring slides, rivers and kid-friendly pools as well as a giant surfing wave. You can relax on a secluded beach along the Torrent River or experience sharp curves and sudden drops of a 360-foot long tube chute.

Other attraction worth visiting while in Galveston is the Moody Gardens which feature three main pyramids: the Aquarium, the Rainforest Pyramid and the Discovery Pyramid. Tropical fauna and flora, varied sea life and science-oriented exhibitions are available for tourists in these three pyramid attractions. Those who stay at a Texas lodgingcan also enjoy the RideFilm Theater and IMAX Theater.

And if you rather have a list of must see attractions in Texas, here are my favorites:

The Alamo, one of the most popular tourist attractions in Texas, it is a landmark that signifies Texas patriotic sacrifice against the Mexican Army. The Battle of Alamo, has been featured in movies and books, and is a legend that continues to capture the imagination of those interested in history. Take some time and learn a little about the place where Texas’ independence took place.

The Riverwalk in San Antonio; named by many as “The American Venice.” The Riverwalk or Paseo del Rio is a stunning spot that can be travelled by foot or boat. A unique combination of nature and metropolis make it a perfect venue for a romantic getaway. You can bring your other half and spend the most charming time of your life.

The Dallas World Aquarium, perfect if you want to see the underwater life. The Dallas World Aquarium is a must. This incredible place is home to the most dangerous and exotic marine life of the world. You and your family will be able to see hammerhead sharks, lionfish and witness the feeding time of these species. The Dallas World Aquarium is also the habitat for such endangered species as the blind salamander.

And finally Texas’ Beaches. Although not very popular among tourists Texas also offers vacationers 600 miles of Gulf of Mexico’s coastline. If you are looking for some surf fun, head to the Stewart Beach Park at Galveston. Volleyball courts, live music, and a games room are all available at East Beach.

Vacationing in Texas is definitely an experience worth trying. This rich state has a lot to offer regardless if you visit with friends or family.

Visiting South Carolina is really an experience unlike any other. It is one of the original American colonies of the United States and it is also influenced by African, Caribbean and European cultures. Waterfalls, Whitewater lakes, Backwater Rivers, Islands and Coasts are the main areas that make up this fascinating state. Its scenic lakes, cascading waterfalls, hunting and fishing opportunities, as well as its miles of beautiful beaches are what make a South Carolina vacation an exciting experience.

If you are looking for a beach vacation then this state will not disappoint you. White sands and crystal waters along with seaside golf courses make South Carolina the ideal beach family vacation destination.
Hilton Head Island is another good option for those traveling with the family. The majestic beauty of South Carolina’s treasured Coast can be experienced at this enchanting place, where you will find everything from nature preserves, wild animals, endangered loggerhead sea turtles, bottle nose dolphins and numerous exotic bird species among others. It boasts an incredible variety of tourist attractions, numerous historical houses, art galleries and monuments such as the Charles Towne Landing Historic Site and the historic churches. At the Charles Towne Landing Historic Site guests can walk on the very same spot where English colonists in 1670 established the first permanent European settlement in the Carolinas. The site is also home to an animal forest and a life-size reproduction of a 17th century trading vessel.

Also make sure to visit Middletown Place while in Charleston. Perfectly preserved, this 18th century plantation is a National Historic Landmark and home to 65-acres of America’s oldest landscaped gardens. You will be thrilled with a wide selection of Middleton family furniture, china, paintings and portraits. House museum, gardens as well as stableyards and outdoor activities are available for visitors.

Folly Beach is another popular destination of South Carolina. Often referred to by locals as the “Edge of America”, Folly Beach is a small town located in Charleston County where you will not only find wonderful cuisine, rich history and the finest South Carolina lodging alternatives; you will find yourself in a secluded setting ideal if you are looking for some privacy far from crowds.

One of the best places to organize a family picnic; this park is located at the west end of Folly Beach, and features 2500 feet of ocean frontage, 200 feet of river frontage, boardwalks, picnic areas and a snack bar. Visitors can also rent a boogie board, bicycle, umbrellas and many more.

Outdoor activities are one of the best ways of enjoying all what this state has to offer. While staying at one of the many sc bed and breakfasts you can enjoy an exciting birding quest. The area’s varied habitats host an incredible diversity of birdlife. Boating is also very popular as it allows tourists to enjoy romantic sunsets and scenic views and if you are looking for something a little more adventurous, South Carolina offers splendorous hiking trails.

If you like shopping instead then get ready to visit South Carolina’s numerous upscale boutiques, specialty shops and outlet malls. You will find everything from department stores to unique shops where to get your souvenirs. Country crafts and hand made articles also abound all over.

And if you are looking for great dinning alternatives South Carolina’s dinning choices can’t get better. With European, Caribbean and African influences, dinning in South Carolina is simply a tasty world class adventure. Whether you are looking for Gourmet restaurants or Family type Diners, South Carolina will certainly meet your expectations.

If you visit Vail during winter, you are visiting one of America’s most prestigious winter destinations. So don’t miss all the exciting winter sports at the Vail Mountain. Besides skiing and snowboarding you can also enjoy tubing, ski biking and laser tag at the top of the gondola. There is also dog-sledding, ice-skating and snowshoeing. And don’t worry! After a whole day of outdoor recreation, you can soak in a hot tub in you private Vail lodging.
If you are looking for an alternative plan during your Vail vacation, participate in the annual film festival held in the town since 2004. The Vail Film Festival is held in the heart of America’s most famous ski resorts and majestic snow capped mountains and it showcases independent movies, documentaries, student etudes, Oscar shorts and much more. You will not only enjoy film screenings, but also classes, panel discussions, live music and first-track skiing.
If you decide to look for Vail vacation rentals during the summer, you will be amazed with the variety of outdoor activities offered in this part of Colorado. Vail is home to many rivers that are perfect settings for adventure sports such as whitewater rafting and kayaking. You can also travel through the rugged backcountry of the Rocky Mountains in a Hummer while learning about geology, plant life and local culture
If you appreciate nature and fresh mountain air, make sure to visit the Betty Ford Alpine Gardens. This stunning place located at the elevation of 8,200 feet is the world’s highest botanical garden that opens to public during the summer. You will be able to admire a wide collection of high elevation plants with the scenic Colorado Rockies in the background. This garden provides many educational programs as well as mountain hikes, exhibits and classes.
And if you are in a theme-park mood, there is an option for you. Located about 55 minute-drive from any Vail chalet, the Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park is an excellent idea for family fun. Cave tours, thrill rides, alpine coaster and tram rides are some of the many park’s attractions. The Lookout Grille serves delicious lunch in the cozy comfort of a Colorado rustic interior offering excellent mountain views. During winter the park is opened from Thursday to Sunday.

If you are planning on visiting the Florida Keys for your next vacation you will surely have a great time. Regardless of which of the Key’s you decide to stay at, you will, without doubt enjoy incredible time. Great weather and amazing beaches are common to all keys but if you decide to visit Key Largo, here are some of the most popular things to do.
Key Largo is the northernmost island of the Florida Keys and also the largest. Like most of the Florida Keys Islands, Key Largo is a popular tourism destination that offers a great variety of outdoor activities, water sports and fun. You will not have a problem finding the Key Largo lodging lodging options to suit your needs. From spacious Key Largo vacation rentals to comfortable Key Largo condos, the choices are unlimited.
And what is best, you will never be bored in Key Largo. Outdoor adventures, cultural venues and sports are all part of Key Largo’s vacation experience. If you like outdoors for example, you can try a fishing trip. Like most of the Florida Keys, Key Largo is a fishing destination by excellence. Some of the world’s most sought after game fish are part of Key Largo’s marine life, making it a Mecca for sport fishermen from around the globe. Some of the most renowned Florida Keys fishing tournaments also take place in Key Largo.
If you prefer eco-tourism there are also interesting possibilities. Key Largo is simply an environmentally fascinating place where freshwater from the Everglades mixes with the saltwater of Florida Bay, making Key Largo’s natural surroundings unique among the keys.
Another fun activity while in Key Largo and one I totally recommend is swimming with dolphins. This is one of the most popular activities especially among those vacationing with kids. You can do the structured dolphin swim or the sea lion swim. A 45 minutes briefing on the animals is necessary yet very informative before they let you get inside the water.
The city is also home to numerous outdoor and nature venues including the John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park, where you will be able to do some great snorkeling, camping and diving. This park is truly beautiful and worth a visit.

With fantastic tales of fearsome pirates and shipwrecked souls, the Cayman Islands serve up a rich and storied history. Today’s visitors flock here for a different kind of treasure: a fabulous Caribbean vacation. If you’re looking for a wonderful getaway with white sand beaches and delightful recreation in a perfect climate, then Cayman Islands is the way to go.
Grand Cayman is the most popular of the Cayman Islands, and Seven-Mile Beach the best known of the beaches. Here you’ll find the stretches of powdery white sand and sparkling turquoise waters for which the Caribbean is renowned; numerous things to do and a variety of Cayman Islands lodging alternatives. You may simply choose to spend each day unwinding to your heart’s content and laze the day away sipping island drinks by the seaside. Your vacation in a Cayman Islands rental here will be steeped in an intoxicating potion of laid-back island attitude, nestled in an exquisite location. There isn’t a vacation more relaxing than one spent on soft white sand beaches, in a perfect climate, with gentle ocean breezes and the fragrance of exotic blossoms washing over you.
If you choose Cayman Islands villas on the northern coast of Grand Cayman, you’ll find equally beautiful but less crowded beaches. All of them proffer some of the best diving and snorkeling in the Caribbean. The many reefs, caverns, and coral formations, as well as numerous shipwrecks, provide an underwater wonderland. The crystal clear water keeps visibility high, and the water temperature is pleasant year-round. Your stay in one of our Cayman Islands resorts provides the perfect opportunity to try other water sports, too, like wind-surfing or parasailing.
You might also enjoy some of the islands’ natural beauty farther inland. You can explore the local caves and coves, some with a notorious history as pirate hideouts. Maybe you’ll enjoy a visit to the Cayman Turtle Farm, where the endangered green sea turtle is raised and protected.
The traditional West Indian culture of the Cayman Islands is more apparent on Little Cayman and Cayman Brac. Lying 90 miles away from Grand Cayman, these islands will provide you with a vacation off the beaten path. The southwest coast of Cayman Brac features secluded beaches, with sheltered waters perfect for swimming and kayaking. Little Cayman provides an amazing diving experience with the many shipwrecks in Bloody Bay. If you explore the area around these smaller islands, you can come across blow holes and pockets of caves along the shore, as well as majestic steep cliffs along the northeast coast of Cayman Brac.

Although this city has been devastated by natural disasters during recent years, it has also gradually recovered and it still keeps its charm and authenticity. There are many activities and places to visit that will ensure a wonderful time whether you travel with kids and family or a group of friends.
You can start at the French Quarter, where you will receive a homey care if you stay at a New Orleans bed and breakfastand you can walk along the famous Bourbon and Decatur Streets, immersing yourself in New Orleans’ atmosphere. You can also take a mountain bike, riding all the way uptown to the beautiful Garden District, or you could tour the Garden District on a streetcar. This, the oldest continuously operating streetcar in the country, travels up St. Charles Avenue, past marvelously grand homes, Tulane University and Loyola University. While in the area, you can choose to dine anywhere from the 1950’s-era Camellia Grill to one of the finest restaurants in town: Commander’s Place. Take a walking tour of the Garden District to learn more about the history and architecture of the neighborhood.
Head for the south end of the French Quarter, and you’ll find the French Market. Here you can enjoy live music while you shop at the Community Flea market and check out kiosks with fares ranching from Cajun spices and jewelry to voodoo tokens. At the Farmer’s Market you’ll find wonderfully fresh local food, including produce and seafood. Perhaps you’ll pick some up to fix your own delightful meals back at one of our New Orleans vacation homes. The French Quarter also offers some of the best antique shopping opportunities in the country.
You can continue to enjoy the sights of the city with a picturesque horse-drawn carriage ride. River cruises are popular as well, trolling up and down the Mississippi. You can take a 10-minute ferry ride to Algiers point, or you can take a riverboat cruise along the river, perhaps even a jazz-themed cruise with dinner.
Evenings around New Orleans vacation rentals hold their own vivacious appeal. You can eat at any number of renowned restaurants featuring Cajun food, and follow that with an evening visiting famous local taverns like Pat O’Brien’s or the Napoleon House Bar. You can also enjoy a range of music in various locations, ranging from Dixieland jazz to traditional zydeco to classical piano. Perhaps you’ll stop by Mulate’s or Michaul’s Live Cajun Music Restaurant for some authentic Cajun dancing. If you’re particularly bold, you might even join in!

Some vacation styles are not for everyone, and vacationing in Scottsdale, Arizona is definitely not for everyone. Located adjacent to Phoenix, Scottsdale is a premier resort destination full of attractions, beautiful landscapes, outdoor entertainment opportunities and a wide variety of Scottsdale lodging alternatives. It is the ideal destination if you like roughing it out.
If you like room service type of vacationing, then I would reconsider visiting Scottsdale, but if you love outdoors, you will love this town. Hiking, biking, balloon flights, golf courses, fishing and horseback riding; you name it, you have it. Adventure trips, for example, are a great way to start discovering the place. Three of America’s most popular National Parks, Grand Canyon, Bryce Canyon and Zion provide you with excellent sightseeing opportunities. You can also find numerous Condos in Scottsdale, az around these parks.
Another great experience for active travelers in Scottsdale is biking. Numerous biking trails featuring amazing sceneries, guided bike trips and plenty bike rentals are available for visitors. Regardless if you are an expert or a beginner, Scottsdale’s biking trails can challenge any level. And if you prefer rock climbing there are also great alternatives for you. This is one of the most popular activities in the area and you can explore the beautiful Sonora dessert, the Grand Canyon or the Red Rocks of Sedona.
If you like more those activities around the water consider a boating trip. You will find boating guides that offer excursions or watercraft rentals to ride alone or with a group.
And last but not least there is also an alternative for those who prefer air activities; balloon flights. These flights are a fun way to experience the natural beauty of Scottsdale. Year-round sunrise flights and seasonal afternoon sunset flights over the Sonora Desert are offered to visitors.
What else could one ask for an outdoors vacation? Regardless if you prefer the water activities, land activities or even air activities, you will always find a fun alternative to keep you busy at Scottsdale. If you are still thinking where to head on your next vacation, don’t think anymore; book a Scottsdale rental and experience the natural beauty in a different and unique way.
