8 ounces lean ground turkey
1 to 3 teaspoons chili powder
1 cup chunky-style salsa
1 cup vegetarian refried beans
1 14-ounce package Italian-style pizza crust
1-1/2 cups reduced-fat shredded cheddar cheese
4 tablespoons black olive slices
Vegetable oil spray
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Lightly coat frying pan with vegetable oil spray, then sauté ground turkey until browned — break up any clumps. Drain. Blend in salsa and chili powder. Set aside.
In lightly sprayed sauce pan, heat refried beans until bubbly. Spread refried beans evenly over pizza shell. Top with ground turkey mixture and sprinkle with cheese. Bake for seven to ten minutes, or until cheese is melted. Decorate with black olive slices.
Makes eight large slices or 16 appetizer servings.
