First Annual Graduate Student Conference

“Expansion & Contraction of the International Neighborhood”

This conference will examine the multifaceted entity we might call the “international neighborhood” and the role it embodies in modern international relations, as well as its very existence.

February 18-19. 2011


Sponsored by the BU Department of International Relations, the Center for International Relations, the BU Center for the Study of Asia, the Frederick H. Pardee Center for the Longer-Range Future, and the Graduate International Relations Council

The Graduate International Relations Council at Boston University would like to invite graduate students in the fields of Communications, Government, History, International Relations, Political Science, Regional Studies, and Economics to participate in our first graduate student conference.  The conference will attempt to incorporate the broad range of disciplines within the rubric ofinternational relations and the aforementioned theme, through the participation of all interdisciplinary fields.  Panels will be organized based on the number and topic of received abstracts.

Abstracts are to be submitted by January 1, 2011.
