Previous Meetings

SIMAC1: The first workshop took place on December 10-12 at the University of Chicago and had assembled experts in programming models, task-based runtime scheduling, application code developers, scientists from several scientific domains and representatives from HPC vendors. The objective of the workshop was to identify commonalities across a variety of applications and characterize their behavior from the programming challenges perspective.

SIMAC2: The second SIMAC workshop is high performance computing in the manufacturing industry. The objective of the exercise is to determine what role can the software institute play in the HPC solutions required by the industry. The workshop is co-located with NCSA’s annual private partnership meeting.
