A tentative schedule for BU Law’s “internal” competition this fall (2012) to select two BU Law teams to attend the New England Regional Transactional Law Meet on February 15, 2013 is set forth below:
September 11: Informational meeting and student sign-up, Room 920B, 2:00-3:00 p.m.
September 17: Participants/teams finalized
Week of September 17: ”Case” materials distributed
October 1: Meeting of all Buyer Teams (1:00-2:30 p.m.), and meeting of all Seller Teams (3:00-4:30 p.m.), with Michael Frankel, Room 832
Late October/first week of November: Team and client meetings; preparation and exchange of drafts
November 16: Live negotiation sessions between Buyer Teams and Seller Teams, Room 1470A, 10:30 a.m.-6:00 p.m.
Week of November 19: Two Teams selected to represent BU Law at New England Regional Transactional Law Meet on February 15, 2013
BU Law’s internal meet and its participation in the 4th annual Transactional LawMeet℠ will be led by Michael Frankel, Lecturer in Law. In consultation with the Director of the Transactional Law Program, Mr. Frankel has developed case materials for BU Law’s internal meet and will be responsible for advising participating BU Law students in the internal competition, the New England Regional Meet, and the National Meet at Drexel University’s Earle Macke School of Law on March 28 and 29, 2013 .
As his biography indicates, Mr. Frankel has an impressive combination of deep business and legal experience in the transactional arena that make him well-suited to advise BU Law participants and help assure a positive experience for them.
