The Video Geeks Club (VGC) is a new club in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering of Boston University bringing together graduate and undergraduate students interested in fun applications of:
- image and video processing,
- computer graphics and computer vision,
- GPU programming using CUDA, …
Any student with interest in the above, or related, areas who enjoys teamwork, can join the club by coming to club’s meetings held on Fridays at 4pm in PHO404/428 (with demos in PHO406). The main activities of the club are:
- discussion of newest image, video, graphics and vision (IVGV) trends,
- presentation of IVGV papers, news items, product announcements,
- development of fun IVGV applications based on in-house research and literature,
- preparation of cool and fun demos for showcasing club activities at departmental, college and university events,
- maintenance of the VGC Sandbox.
In order to keep up to date with the club’s activities, you may join the VGC mail-list (vgc-list at BU domain) by sending an email to “majordomo” at BU domain with the following line in the body of the message: “subscribe vgc-list XXX”, where “XXX” is your email address.
