Work

  1. Network Optimization and Control Laboratory, ECE Department, Boston University, Boston, MA
Graduate Research Assistant under Prof. Ioannis Paschalidis, Aug. 2017 – Aug. 2022

Currently conducting research on data center demand response modeling using optimization and machine learning techniques.

  2. Mitsubishi Electric Research Labs, Cambridge, MA,
    Machine Learning and Optimization Graduate Intern, May 2021 – Sept. 2021, May 2020 – Aug. 2020, May 2019 – Aug. 2019

Conducted research work on indoor and outdoor destination prediction and time to destination estimation using novel machine learning and deep learning methods.

  3. Graduate Teaching Assistant for ENG EC 414:  Introduction to Machine Learning
ECE Department, Boston University, Boston, MA, Jan. 2019 – May 2019

Served as a Graduate TA in the Spring 2019 and 2020 semesters. Received the Graduate Teaching Assistant of the Year in 2019. The main tasks of my work included: creating homework assignments, grading projects, exams, and homeworks, and assisting students.

  4. The MITRE Corporation, Bedford, MA
Machine Learning and Signal Processing Graduate Intern May 2017 – Aug. 2017

Developed a signal detection, extraction, and analysis algorithm using nonparametric clustering methods for use with communications datasets.

  5. Network Optimization and Control Laboratory, ECE Department, Boston University, Boston, MA
Undergraduate Research Assistant under Prof. Ioannis Paschalidis, Jun. 2016 – May 2017

Worked on anomaly detection in traffic networks.  Developed a program to analyze possible anomalous traffic jams and validate whether or not they are anomalous as compared to normal traffic jams.  Also developed a program to interface with Google Maps to visualize traffic jam shapes per time instant.  Completed a Senior Thesis on Anomaly Detection in Transportation Networks.  Summer 2016 work was supported by BU’s Distinguished Summer Research Fellowship.

  6. Multimedia Communications Laboratory, ECE Department, Boston University, Boston, MA
Undergraduate Research Assistant under Prof. Thomas Little, May 2015 – Oct. 2015

Worked on robust synchronization in optical communication systems; developed an improved synchronization scheme that resulted in improved performance over the state of the art methods.  Wrote a technical report on work at the end of the research period.  This work was supported by a BU UROP grant and presented at BU’s Undergraduate Research Symposium.

  7. Undergraduate Teaching Assistant for ENG EK 127:  Engineering Computation (MATLAB)
ME Department, Boston University, Boston, MA, Jan. 2015 – May 2017

Led a MATLAB review session every week.  Created homework assignments, graded projects, exams, and homeworks, and assisted students with assignments.

  8. Career Development Office, College of Engineering, Boston University, Boston, MA
    Office Assistant, Sep. 2014 – Dec. 2014

Assisted engineering students by providing guidance in relation to career development.  Answered phone calls, emails, greeted employers, and helped maintain the recruitment database.
