{"id":1648,"date":"2011-04-06T17:21:59","date_gmt":"2011-04-06T21:21:59","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.bu.edu\/bjuarez\/?p=1648"},"modified":"2011-04-06T17:39:36","modified_gmt":"2011-04-06T21:39:36","slug":"romeo-et-juliette","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.bu.edu\/bjuarez\/2011\/04\/06\/romeo-et-juliette\/","title":{"rendered":"ROM\u00c9O ET JULIETTE"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>I hope you will join us for this wonderful production.<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>The BU College of Fine Arts presents Charles Gounod\u2019s opera <em>Rom\u00e9o et Juliette<\/em>, running April 21-24 on the mainstage of the Boston University Theatre. <\/strong>The opera features conductor <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bu.edu\/cfa\/music\/faculty\/lumpkin\/\">William Lumpkin<\/a>, stage director <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bu.edu\/cfa\/music\/faculty\/daniels\/\">Sharon Daniels<\/a>, singers from the BU School of Music&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bu.edu\/cfa\/music\/opera\/\">Opera Institute<\/a> and vocal program, with the BU Chamber Orchestra. Production, costume, and lighting design are by students from the BU <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bu.edu\/cfa\/theatre\/about\/\">School of Theatre<\/a>, assisted in build by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.huntingtontheatre.org\/bostonu\/\">Huntington Theatre Company<\/a> staff.
