BUMPolo Home Tournament Re-Cap

And just like that, the weekend is over! BUMPolo had a very eventful start to the season over the weekend facing the top two teams in the league, Boston College and Dartmouth. After playing  very close first halves in both games, Dartmouth and BC  were able to open up a lead in the third and fourth quarters to win the match over BU. They were tough back to back losses, but went  back to the drawing board with an extra touch of motivation.
In the final game of the night, BU took a victory over Middlebury, with a decisive win 12-4.

BUMPolo played a very tight game with Northeastern to wrap up the tournament weekend. The match was tied until halfway through the fourth quarter where BU scored back to back goals to take a one point lead. With two minutes remaining, Northeastern came back hard and tied the game. Northeastern scored the game winning goal in the last 60 seconds of play – leaving BUMPolo with a 1-3 record for the opening weekend. We have learned our strengths and weaknesses from this past weekend and look forward to sharpening up all our skills over the next two weeks before we head to Yale for our second tournament of the season.
