Advocate
Our goal is to educate students about the political developments currently influencing the healthcare field, particularly in the areas of medical and bioengineering. We aim to use our platform to advocate for health equality, ensuring that everyone has access to medical care regardless of race, gender, or religion.
Mentor
Our chapter strongly believes in the power of peer mentorship. Together with our peers, we aim to establish mentorship groups to strengthen our biomaterials society and build a supportive network of students interested in biomaterials. These groups will provide guidance not only in biomaterials but also in addressing any academic, industry, or research-related questions.
Outreach
Our chapter aims to form partnerships with local primary and secondary schools to introduce younger students to the fields of biomaterials and bioengineering. Once a semester, we plan to visit local science classes and engage students in fun, hands-on projects. Our goal is to educate them about the exciting opportunities that biology, bioengineering, and biomaterials can offer.
