Hima is a senior at BU studying Biomedical Engineering, concentrating in Nanotechnology, and minoring in Chemistry. Her research interests lie in biomaterials for medical applications. Her passion for biomaterials started in high school under her internship with Brimrose Technology Corporation where she researched crystal growth for medical applications. Currently, she works under Dr. O\u2019Shea in the Glia Engineering Lab at BU where she researches branching parameters of charged oligomers to be used for coacervate formation for CNS injuries. In her free time, Hima enjoys hanging out with friends, exploring the city, baking, and yoga.<\/span><\/p>\n

Leo Boisvert<\/strong> – Vice President <\/span><\/h4>\n

Leo is a senior at BU studying biomedical engineering with a concentration in nanotechnology. He is currently an undergraduate research assistant at the WISE Circuits lab under Dr. Yazicigil. He is interested in how biomaterials research can be used in the development of cell-free and cell-based biosensors, particularly for medical diagnostic applications. Leo enjoys traveling, F1 racing, video games, and playing basketball.<\/span><\/p>\n

Ghaida Aldhahri – <\/b>Public Relations Chair<\/span><\/h4>\n

Ghaida is a senior at Boston University studying Biomedical Engineering, concentrating in Nanotechnology, and minoring in Public Policy Analysis. Her research interests focus on biomaterials and drug delivery. She has worked on projects ranging from polymer foams for catalysis and biosensors to targeted dendrimer nanoparticles for mRNA delivery in neurodegenerative diseases. Beyond research, she founded INSTEP (Interface of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Policy), a student organization dedicated to bridging science and public policy. Her passion lies in ensuring biomedical innovations translate to societal impact. In her free time, Ghaida enjoys painting, photography, planning trips, reading, and attending cultural events.<\/span><\/p>\n
