Even though meet season hasn’t started yet, October was a busy month for BU Synchro! Here’s a recap of some of our highlights:
1)- Volunteering! We took time out of a busy week to volunteer at the Waltham Youth Hockey Race on October 14th. It was a great way to get in touch with the community, support youth sports programs, spread some positivity, and bond with our teammates!
2)- Fundraising! October 29th was BU Synchro’s first ever lap-athon! Swimmers and coaches participated, swimming as many laps as they could in 30 minutes. Our friends and family pledged donations per lap, and we raised over $2,500 for our nationals fund! We love our fans!
3)- Celebrating! Can’t write a post about October without mentioning Halloween! We wrapped up the month with a festive practice on October 31st. Swimmers and coaches came in their most creative waterproof costumes, and we had some spooky fun before getting to work.
Stay tuned for everything we’ll be up to in November, most notably our first meet of the season at Wheaton on November 19th!
