<\/a>*Tweet, Tweet*<\/p>\n

Anyone who knows me is well aware of my obsession with Twitter.\u00a0 I tweet constantly, but it\u2019s OK.\u00a0 I\u2019m pretty sure I don\u2019t need an intervention.\u00a0 Not yet, anyway\u2026<\/p>\n

Since I spend way too much time on Twitter, I thought I\u2019d share some advice on how to make the most of your Twitter time, so you\u2019re not just mindlessly scrolling through your news feed for hours like I do all the time!<\/p>\n

Well, here you go:<\/p>\n

  1. Use Hootsuite!<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Hoosuite<\/a> is a great social media management tools that allows you to schedule tweets ahead of time, which is awesome and really convenient.\u00a0 You can also follow customized feeds (using search words) and easily manage multiple accounts at the same time.\u00a0 I\u2019ve found it helpful that I can see what I\u2019ve tweeted, who\u2019s retweeted or mentioned me, and my news feed all on the same page!\u00a0 It makes life easier (and the owl logo is so adorable).\u00a0 If you\u2019re slightly OCD like me, and enjoy keeping things organized, Hoosuite is the way to go!\u00a0 And it\u2019s free, for all the broke college students out there!<\/p>\n

    1. Participate in TweetChats<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      Remember chatting on AIM back in the day?\u00a0 Well, the new version of that comes in the form of TweetChats.\u00a0 Basically, everyone involved in the discussion just uses the same hashtag to follow along with the conversation.\u00a0 Using http:\/\/tweetchat.com\/<\/a> makes it really easy to see what everyone\u2019s tweeting about.\u00a0 There are tons of chats about all different types of topics that are hosted by all different types of people.\u00a0 Feel free to check out this list here:\u00a0 http:\/\/gnosisarts.com\/home\/Tweetchat_Wiki\/By_Day<\/a><\/p>\n

      My personal favorites are the weekly #LikeableChat, #InternPro chat and #PinChat.\u00a0 Joining in a tweetchat is a great way to network and interact with tons of interesting people!<\/p>\n

      1. Add your own header picture<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        Twitter allows users to get creative with the theme of their page.\u00a0\u00a0 It\u2019s really easy to design a customized background and header in Photoshop or InDesign, and it\u2019s definitely worth it. Having an interesting design will make you stand out, and adds some flare to you page!\u00a0 You can find more information about dimensions here: http:\/\/twitterheadersize.com\/<\/a> and \u00a0http:\/\/ct-social.com\/twitter-background\/<\/a><\/p>\n

        1. Have fun with it!<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

          What I love about Twitter is that you really can tweet about anything you want.\u00a0 You can share content from other sources, tweet silly pictures or state your opinions about what\u2019s going on in the world- it\u2019s all about you!\u00a0 Determine what you want to get out of your Twitter, and go for it!<\/p>\n
