Valentine\u2019s Day is again upon the horizon. Before you know it, the restaurants of Boston will be filled with sighing lovers, and the dining halls of BU will be filled awkward Freshman dates. Ah, to be young, in love, and still on a meal plan.<\/p>\n
If you\u2019re of the romantic persuasion, you may feel inclined to make your love publicly known. Wonderful! The world could always use a little more love. If you want to shout off of rooftops, go on and shout. Of course, there are some ways of saying \u201cI Love You,\u201d on Valentine\u2019s Day that, well, shouldn\u2019t be said, and so I bring to you the Five Things to Avoid Doing on Social Media for Valentine\u2019s Day.<\/p>\n
1) Sending a relationship status request: No one should be asked to be Facebook-official on Valentine\u2019s Day. It\u2019s a day for celebrating your love, not defining it.<\/p>\n
2) Instagramming your date: This is a special day for you and your partner, so save it for yourselves.<\/p>\n
3) Assuming that a Valentine\u2019s Day status equals a card: A hand-written card shows some real thought. Flowers and chocolate are also nice. Emojis are not.<\/p>\n
4) Posting about moving on from your last relationship: Chances are that if you\u2019re posting about this, then it isn\u2019t true. And now we all know.<\/p>\n
5) Posting about anything that goes on behind closed doors: We don\u2019t want to know. Really. Not even the NSA wants to know. But they do now. Forever.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
