Thank you for taking the time to read this blog!\u00a0 To quickly introduce myself, my name is Derek Olson.\u00a0 I hail from Hanson, MA, and I study journalism and public relations with a minor in business administration and management.<\/span><\/p>\n This is the third blog I\u2019m writing as a COM ambassador, and I feel like the time between semesters is only getting shorter.\u00a0 If you\u2019re a senior in college, you may be saying, \u201cDuh, enjoy it while you still can,\u201d but I want to address this to freshmen and those who may not be aware: College goes by fast.<\/span><\/p>\n It\u2019s something I always heard from the adults in my life, but this past year is the first time I\u2019ve truly experienced it.\u00a0 Semester falls into semester, and before I knew it, I\u2019m almost halfway through college.<\/span><\/p>\n So what?\u00a0 My advice: do everything.\u00a0 Say yes to that hangout with friends, try out that club, passion or activity you\u2019ve always wanted to do and don\u2019t be afraid to stay out a little later than you\u2019d thought.\u00a0 These four years are our foolproof time to try, to fail and to learn.<\/span><\/p>\n Don\u2019t be stupid, but be ambitious.\u00a0 Don\u2019t be ignorant, but be happy.<\/span><\/p>\n These may be cliche words of wisdom, but do heed them and enjoy this time we all get the opportunity to have.\u00a0 Nothing gold can stay.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" By Derek Olson Thank you for taking the time to read this blog!\u00a0 To quickly introduce myself, my name is Derek Olson.\u00a0 I hail from Hanson, MA, and I study journalism and public relations with a minor in business administration and management.
