Take a break from studying to celebrate the holidays in Boston!<\/span><\/span><\/h1>\n

\"Winter<\/p>\n

1. Watch Boston Ballet\u2019s The Nutcracker <\/a>at the Boston Opera House through December 31st. Students may receive a discount through the Boston Ballet.
\n2. Ring in the New Year on December 31st at Boston\u2019s First Night celebration<\/a>. This celebration will be free and open to all. Entertainment and specialty attractions will be focused in Copley Square and the Boston Common.
\n3. Enjoy the Boston Common Tree Lighting Ceremony <\/a>on December 3rd!
\n4. Do some holiday shopping at the SOWA Holiday Market <\/a>on December 12th and 13th. Local vendors\u00a0and food trucks will be present for this\u00a0event!
\n5. Donate winter clothes and accessories to the Friends of Boston\u2019s Homeless Organization<\/a>.
\n6. Eat at BU Hillel\u2019s Chanukah mega bash, Latkepalooza<\/a> on December 9th! Thousands of latke’s are eaten by BU students each year. All students are welcome.
\n7. Skate at Boston\u2019s Frog Pond <\/a>all winter long! Please be sure to check the website and the weather\u00a0beforehand. Admission for adults is $11.
\n8. Run in the Somerville Jingle Bell Run <\/a>on December 20th. This event is sponsored by Harpoon Brewery and is followed by\u00a0a number of events at local bars and restaurants.
\n9. Laugh at The ImprovBoston Holiday Spectacular <\/a>through December 26th.
\n10. Ski or snowboard with BU\u2019s Fitrec Program <\/a>at Nashoba Valley. This is an excellent program for beginners. Both lessons and equipment are available.<\/p>\n
