{"id":506,"date":"2014-09-12T16:34:47","date_gmt":"2014-09-12T20:34:47","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.bu.edu\/comgrad\/?p=506"},"modified":"2014-11-16T10:34:58","modified_gmt":"2014-11-16T15:34:58","slug":"back-to-my-new-old-school","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.bu.edu\/comgrad\/2014\/09\/12\/back-to-my-new-old-school\/","title":{"rendered":"Back to my new, old school"},"content":{"rendered":"<p dir=\"ltr\"><a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.bu.edu\/comgrad\/our-team\/\"><strong><\/strong><\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.bu.edu\/comgrad\/ali-parisi\/\"><strong>By Ali Parisi<\/strong><\/a><em><br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.bu.edu\/comgrad\/ali-parisi\/\"> <em>MS Public Relations &#8217;16<\/em><\/a><br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.bu.edu\/com\/admissions\/graduate\/\"><em>BU College of Communication<\/em><\/a><\/em><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">If you were in a 30-mile radius of Boston during Labor Day weekend, you knew: it was move-in time. \u00a0Home to numerous colleges and universities, the Boston move-in process is a beast in itself. \u00a0Everything from midday bumper to bumper traffic to countless discarded furniture pieces left on the curb screams, \u201cGet out of this city while you still can.\u201d And yet, hundreds of thousands of college students continue to make their way into the city.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Fortunately for me, this wasn\u2019t my first time around the block, and I was smart enough to move in well before then. \u00a0This will be my fourth year at Boston University. \u00a0After three years of studying Mass Communication, I\u2019m incredibly excited to dive straight into BU\u2019s Public Relations graduate program.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">If moving in and adjusting to graduate level classes wasn\u2019t enough already, it\u2019s also the middle of soccer season. I\u2019ve been on campus since August 3rd for preseason training.\u00a0Before classes even started, I had been through three weeks of training, two home games and a weekend trip for two games in South Carolina.
