This year, the tour guide devised by the faculty directs students to the themes of power and grief as visual points of entry as they consider the content, style, function and context of works in the Near Eastern, Archaic and Classical Greek Galleries.<\/p>\n<p>The works include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.mfa.org\/collections\/object\/relief-of-a-winged-genius-198765\">Assyrian Winged Protective Deity<\/a>, Carved stone slab, 883-859 B.C.E [81.56; pictured at right]<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.mfa.org\/collections\/object\/cylinder-seal-163908\">Cylinder Seal with Scene from Epic of Gilgamesh<\/a>, 900-600 B.C.E.\u00a0 [65.1663]<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.mfa.org\/collections\/object\/water-jar-hydria--153447\">Chariot of Achilles dragging corpse of Hector<\/a> (black-figure water jug, or <em><a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Hydria\">hydria<\/a><\/em>), 520-510 B.C.E. [63.473]<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.mfa.org\/collections\/object\/female-mourner-151502\">Female Mourner &#8211; Greek, Early Archaic Period<\/a>, about 600 B.C.E. [67.916]<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.mfa.org\/collections\/object\/mixing-bowl-calyx-krater-with-scenes-from-the-fall-of-troy-153660\">Scenes from the Fall of Troy<\/a> (red-figure <em><a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Krater\">krater<\/a>)<\/em>, 470-60 B.C.E.
