Some of the mystery surrounding him has been recently abated: forensic scientists have uncovered his remains beneath a building in Madrid.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"\/core\/files\/2015\/03\/81695436_image7.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/core\/files\/2015\/03\/81695436_image7-300x193.png\" alt=\"_81695436_image7\" width=\"300\" height=\"193\" class=\" size-medium wp-image-4502 aligncenter\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.bu.edu\/core\/files\/2015\/03\/81695436_image7-300x193.png 300w, https:\/\/blogs.bu.edu\/core\/files\/2015\/03\/81695436_image7.png 624w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Though badly damaged, scientists found his bones alongside those of his wife and other individuals who were buried with him.
