It was sent by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bu.edu\/core\/about\/people\/gabrielle-sims\/\" target=\"_blank\">Prof. Gabrielle Sims<\/a>, who as an Italianist writing from Italy unsurprisingly opened her note with an Italian greeting:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em><a href=\"\/core\/files\/2016\/07\/back.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/core\/files\/2016\/07\/back-300x204.jpg\" alt=\"back\" width=\"215\" height=\"146\" class=\"alignright  wp-image-4837\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.bu.edu\/core\/files\/2016\/07\/back-300x204.jpg 300w, https:\/\/blogs.bu.edu\/core\/files\/2016\/07\/back-1024x697.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 215px) 100vw, 215px\" \/><\/a>Cari tutti nel Core<\/em> [&#8220;Dear everyone in Core&#8221;],<\/p>\n<p>I write to you from the former Duchy or Urbino, birthplace of <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Raphael\" target=\"_blank\">Raffaello<\/a> and site of one of the most vibrant Renaissance courts (under <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Federico_da_Montefeltro\" target=\"_blank\">Federico da Montefeltro<\/a>\u00a0and <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Battista_Sforza\" target=\"_blank\">Battista Sforza<\/a>, 1444-1482).<\/p>\n<p>Happy Independence Day!
