We had an accident in the most Core way possible. You see, as we were gathering interesting Core-related news and articles across the interwebs, something&#8230; happened. Well, you&#8217;ll see. Read on:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Over in the UK, the new 10 pound note&#8211;depicting the face of Jane Austen&#8211;has entered circulation. And it will never see the inside of one vegan restaurant, which is boycotting the tender as the notes <a href=\"http:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/news\/article-4884102\/Vegan-Hippo-cafe-boycott-new-Jane-Austen-banknotes.html\">contains tallow<\/a>, a type of rendered animal fat. (Related: <a href=\"http:\/\/metro.co.uk\/2017\/09\/14\/she-is-the-new-face-of-the-10-note-but-was-jane-austen-money-motivated-6919336\/\">Adam Smith<\/a> is on the soon-to-be-introduced <span><\/span>20.)<\/li>\n<li><strong>More on Jane:<\/strong> King&#8217;s College in Cambridge, England, has organized an exhibition in honor of the 200th anniversary of Jane Austen&#8217;s death. It includes rare artifacts such as<a href=\"http:\/\/www.bbc.com\/news\/uk-england-cambridgeshire-41192020\"> a letter penned by the author and the manuscript of an unfinished novel entitled <em>Sanditon<\/em><\/a>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>You guessed it&#8211;Jane Austen:<\/strong> <em>Austentacious<\/em> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.digitalspy.com\/showbiz\/theatre\/news\/a837867\/jane-austen-modern-comedy-austentacious-improv-west-end\/\">takes on London&#8217;s West End<\/a> beginning this December. Prompted by a title of a &#8220;lost&#8221; (see: non-existent) novel provided by an audience member, the cast, dressed in regency garb, creates a completely improvised show. In the past, they have put on such shows as <em>The Sixth Sense and Sensibility<\/em>, <em>Mansfield Shark,<\/em> and <em>Double O Darcy<\/em>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>No turning back:<\/strong> <em>LA Times<\/em> contributor Rosemary McClure provides <a href=\"http:\/\/www.latimes.com\/travel\/la-tr-jane-austen-trail-20170910-htmlstory.html\">a guide to celebrating the aforementioned 200th anniversary<\/a> around the world. From Bath, Hampshire, and Chawton all the way to California, McClure&#8217;s pilgrimage spans two countries and several gift shops (gotta have that sweet, sweet Austen merch).<\/li>\n<li><strong>I guess this Weekly Round-Up is Austen-themed now:<\/strong> Janeites from all over the world gather&#8211;in period costume&#8211;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.independent.co.uk\/travel\/uk\/jane-austen-festival-bath-fans-janeites-grand-promenade-bicentenary-country-dance-a7941336.html\">to the Jane Austen Festival in Bath<\/a>, which closes this Sunday, September 17.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div style=\"width: 400px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/static.independent.co.uk\/s3fs-public\/styles\/story_medium\/public\/thumbnails\/image\/2017\/09\/12\/09\/jane-austen-ball.png\" width=\"390\" height=\"260\" \/><p class=\"wp-caption-text\">Go big or go home at the Jane Austen Festival.
