After Homer recorded the story in writing in the 8th century BCE, the story could endure retelling, and that versionbecame the one we know today. Now,BBC reports that archaeologists may have discovered <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.com\/news\/world-europe-44779492\">the oldest recording of Homer&#8217;s Odyssey<\/a> on a tabletdating back to Roman times, still centuries after Homer&#8217;s lifetime.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Looks like a far cry from the nice paperbacks we use now!
